Returning students will find a lot of changes in the Library this fall. Our wireless network has been expanded and upgraded so no one will have to drag their laptops to the central Rockefeller Hall space to get reception. As a result of the IT Department’s technology use study, the PCs above floor 1M have been removed to give students more carrel space for their own laptop use. We’ve increased our Mac machines so that we now have 4 Macs with large screens that have the Adobe Creative Suite loaded onto them. Also, the PC’s in the periodicals room and on the Main floor behind the old card catalog have been upgraded and now run Windows 7. One thing that has NOT changed, however, is the committment of the library staff to answer any question you might have and to help with figuring out all our new technology. Please just ask us!
