As history research paper time draws near, we thought it would be fitting to continue our “Meet the Staff” series by (re)introducing Reference & Instruction Librarian Kate Lennon Walker.
What is your role in the library? About half my day is spent staffing the Help Desk in Rockefeller Hall. The other half is spent preparing research guides and bibliographic instruction sessions.
What are your interests or hobbies? Much of my free time is spent playing with my three sons, ages 7, 4, and 3.
Favorite book? It’s hard to come up with just one, but I like to read historical fiction. (How appropriate for a librarian with a second master’s degree in History!)
Favorite food? Ice cream!
Pet Peeves? People who talk on cell phones and text while driving.
