Haley Lecture, A Talk by Professor Anne Fogarty

On Tuesday January 14th, Phillips Exeter Academy’s Department of English will host the speaker of this year’s Haley Lecture, Professor Anne Fogarty of University College Dublin.  The talk entitled “A ghostly light from the street lamp”: History and Memory in James Joyce’s “The Dead,” will be held in the Academy Library’s Rockefeller Hall at 7:00 pm.  Anne Fogarty is Professor of James Joyces Studies at University College Dublin, Director of the UCD James Joyce Research Centre, and Head of the School of English, Drama and Film. This event is free and open to the public.
