For National Poetry Month, the Academy Library is holding a contest for original Spine Poetry. Spine poems are created using the titles on the spines of books or dvds. See examples from last year’s spine poems.
Guidelines
- Create a spine poem using the words on the spines of a stack of books or dvds.
- Use items from the Academy Library or your own collection.
- Open to all members of the PEA community.
- Poems must be submitted in photographic form.
- In order to collect a prize, winners must come to the Academy Library.
How to Enter
- Email a picture of your poem or poems to Beth Rohloff by April 26th. Be sure to include your name and poem title.
- Note: If you are interested in participating, but do not have a camera, please contact Beth Rohloff (brohloff@exeter.edu, x3568).
Deadline for Submissions— Sat. April 26th
- All submissions will be posted anonymously to the Academy Library’s Facebook and Pinterest pages.
- Public voting will take place online and in person from April 28 – May 2nd. Winners will be announced in early May.
