Since 1993, the Library has invited seniors to contribute a short list of books they’d recommend to others to read. Seniors provide titles for their book lists, which are then printed as bookmarks and made available prior to graduation.
This year over forty seniors participated in this annual tradition. The most popular titles amongst this year’s seniors included The Things They Carried by Tim O’Brien, The Giver by Lois Lowry, and The Sound and the Fury by William Faulkner. Other titles included works by our alumni, Covering by Kenji Yoshino ’87 and Breakfast with Buddha by Roland Merullo ’71, and many of the Lamont Poets that have visited campus these past four years.
The Class of 2014 Senior Bookmarks are now available at the Academy Library’s circulation desk. Be sure to visit the accompanying exhibit in Rockefeller Hall, or check out our online guide of 2014 Senior Bookmark Picks.
