On Thursday November 12th, the Class of 1945 Library will host an evening performance by storyteller Jay O’Callahan. Mr. O’Callahan will bring to life his story The Herring Shed, a dramatization of World War II’s effect on residents of a small Nova Scotia fishing village.
Jay O’Callahan has performed his stories in New Zealand, Lincoln Center, the Abbey Theater in Dublin, the National Fine Arts Complex in London, and with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. He was awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and his work has been heard on National Public Radio.
The event begins at 7pm and is open to members of the Phillips Exeter Academy community.
