Harris Center Toddlers Visit the Commons

Students in the Blended Care 2 classroom at PEA’s Harris Family Children’s Center visited the Library on the morning of Thursday, March 17 for storytime and a meet-and-greet with Library staff. A total of ten students and three teachers arrived in two large strollers and proceeded directly into the Library Commons, where they enjoyed a quick romp on the furniture before settling in for a reading of Dr. Seuss’ The Butter Battle Book by librarian Drew Gatto. The students were then encouraged to choose and enjoy their own Dr. Seuss books from an exhibit created by Circulation Coordinator Marilyn Bott. Librarian Beth Rohloff assisted the students with their book selections and took some great photos. Overall, the students enjoyed visiting the Library, meeting its staff and learning about its collection of children’s books. We hope to host them again in the near future!
