The English Department and the Class of 1945 Library invite you to a reading by Paul Yoon ’98, from his forthcoming book The Mountain. Yoon’s first book, Once the Shore, was selected as a New York Times Notable Book and a Best Debut of the Year by National Public Radio. It also won the Asian American Literary Award for Fiction and a 5 under 35 Award from the National Book Foundation. His novel, Snow Hunters, won the 2014 Young Lions Fiction Award. He has taught creative writing at Sarah Lawrence College and at the Bennington Writing Seminars. Yoon is currently a Fellow at the New York Public Library’s Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers.
The reading will take place on Thursday April 7, 2016 at 7pm in the Class of 1945 Library’s Rockefeller Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
